Some of our long time students may recall taking classes and workshops at Now & Zen Yoga with Jessica Berger. She taught with us in our first year, and came back a number of times to teach meditation workshops. She is still living and working in the Pioneer Valley, as a personal trainer and yoga instructor. She offers health, fitness and nutritional workshop around the valley and is available for group classes and personal one-on-one instruction. Visit her website at www.jessicaberger.com!

The response to the news of the Now & Zen Yoga studio closing has been wonderful. I want to thank those of you who had e-mailed or spoken to me in person regarding this very difficult decision that I had to make. I appreciate the understanding, support and kindness of your words. It means more to me than you know.
I hope to see you all in class in the weeks leading up to May 21st so that I can continue to share my yoga practice with you, and so I can answer any questions you might have as things come to a close.

The Deady Bridge in Chicopee (aka the singing birdge) that has been under construction for so long is going to be closed all this week. If you take that route to or from yoga class, please seek an alternate route just for this week.

I am sad to announce that after over four years of offering yoga in the Chicopee and Springfield area, Now and Zen Yoga will be closing it’s doors one final time on May 21st.
Since February 2004, running the yoga studio and teaching classes has been a fulfilling experience for me, both personally and professionally. I am eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to share my yoga practice with so many wonderful people over the years. I plan to take some time off from teaching for both personal and professional reasons in order to refocus my energies. I plan to return to teaching yoga in the future.
Even though Now and Zen is closing you will still be able to find your favorite yoga teachers in the local area. Faith Jackson can be found at www.betweenbreathandbone.com for yoga, reiki and massage. Two of our former teachers have opened yoga studios of their own. Please visit Gayle Stefanelli at www.stretchyogacenter.com in Granby, MA and Aaron Vega at www.vegayoga.com in Holyoke, MA.
Please read our website, most information is on our “Workshops and Events” page. This will give you complete details regarding classes, your current class cards, studio hours, the boutique clearance sale and more.
Thank you all for your support, kindness and understanding at this time.

Sydney is available for adoption
Our Anniversary month efforts were very much appreciated by the Springfield MSPCA. We donated $65 from the used book sale along with a good size pile of food, treats, toys, blankets and essential items for the shelter staff. Several of the shelter staff and volunteers said “thank you”. They even went so far as to hold up an item or two and say “Oh good! The dogs/cats will love this!”.
So thank you to everyone who was able to contribute items that we donated to the shelter, and thank you to everyone who bought a used book.
Our used book sale will continue thoreugh April - so please stop by the Indian Orchard studio to find a couple good reads and a donation into the collection box. The staff, volunteer and furry critters at the shelter will greatly appreciate it.
